How Teleradiology Makes a Difference

In a rapidly growing healthcare sector, the world does not have enough radiologists to be present at every radiology center. This holds true especially for a country as large as India, which has over 700 million people living away in regions that do not have access to full-fledged healthcare centers with radiologists on duty. While the equipment industry in India grows at 15%, the number of radiologists is growing at a pace of only 2%. There are a little over 10,000 radiologists in India today for a population of 1.35 billion. A majority of these are based out of metros or Tier 1 cities, leaving Tier 2 and beyond cities grossly untouched.

As per Mr. Milan Rao, Ex-President and CEO, GE Healthcare, India and South Asia, “Shortage of qualified medical professionals is emerging as one of the biggest impediments to growth and access to quality healthcare in India. In healthcare, solutions don’t come in boxes. We need skilled people who can use equipment well and interpret reports coming from them for effective clinical outcomes. The teleradiology solutions is one way to address this skill gap. It will further drive access and availability of high-end medical technologies to far corners of the country and deliver positive health outcomes.”

Radiserve steps in to bridge this need, aiding patient care, as we provide round-the-clock services 365 days a year, without a radiologist ever needing to stay present on location to read reports and advise the patients.

Radiserve also makes it easy to seek a second opinion with our team of radiologists. We also follow industry best practices such as quality checks and peer reviews, along with accreditations from agencies.

We envision reaching every corner of the world through our Teleradiology service and ensuring that no patient suffers due to the unavailability of a radiologist. We do understand that every country on the globe has its own requirements, guidelines and protocols to be followed regarding radiology practices and therefore we ensure to abide by the same. Our panel of radiologists is certified by reputed institutions. Also, based on their country of practice we ensure that our radiologists are certified by the accepted boards such as –
